Coach Chris has been playing hockey for more than 45 years. Growing up outside of Buffalo, hockey was always part of his life. He’s played defense since he was 10 years old—and has never looked back. A Conestoga High School alum, Chris began coaching about 7–8 years ago with his son’s middle school team, and soon after joined the Conestoga Girls Ice Hockey program when his oldest daughter began playing. After several years as an Assistant Coach, he stepped into the role of Head Coach, bringing steady leadership and a focus on player development and team growth.

Coach Scotty brings decades of playing and coaching experience to the Conestoga Girls Ice Hockey program. A proud Conestoga alum, he played for the Stoga boys' team from 1982–1985 and was part of the 1985 State Championship team. He went on to play Junior B hockey with the Tropicana Flyers and continued his hockey career at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, playing for their club team. “Coaching has been a big part of my life ever since college,” he says. “It’s been especially meaningful to return to Conestoga and coach alongside friends and former teammates.” After college, he coached Conestoga Boys’ Varsity with recently retired Stoga Girls coaches Mike Stagnaro and Tony Parisi from 1989–2000, and later returned to the ice with Mighty Moose and Conestoga Girls Hockey in 2019. Over the years, he’s also coached his own children’s soccer and baseball teams. Off the ice, Coach Scotty enjoys playing golf and spending time at the beach.

Coach Kevin has been playing hockey for more than 50 years—and still laces up to this day. He has over a decade of coaching experience, with a focus on defense and helping new players develop their skills. “I’ve played hockey with Head Coach Chris for over 20 years, and with Brian for 15,” he says. “This season, I’m especially looking forward to working with our newer skaters, setting individual goals like learning crossovers and stopping on both sides, and watching their confidence grow.”

Coach Rob brings a lifelong love of hockey—and deep goalie experience—to his role with Conestoga Girls Ice Hockey. He started skating at age four outside of Boston and played every position on the ice before settling into the crease around age nine. He trained at Joe Bertagna’s Goalie Camp, played for the Junior Bruins Club team in 8th grade, and was selected as a goalie for the Central team in the prestigious Hockey Night in Boston tournament. His public high school team was undefeated in his junior year and ranked among the top in the state. “Many of my teammates went on to play college hockey—and a few even made it to the pros,” Coach Rob says. “I chose to focus on music after high school, but hockey has always stayed with me.” Coach Rob has stayed connected to the sport through adult leagues and by volunteering on the ice with Conestoga Hockey since his daughter Roxy joined the elementary team. He’s worked with goalies at practices, helped on the bench for middle school and JV games, and recently joined Coach Stag at JV practices to support player development. Off the ice, Coach Rob is a professional musician and app developer. He’s toured internationally with Jewish reggae artist Matisyahu, and has performed on The Tonight Show and The Late Show with David Letterman. He continues to collaborate with Matisyahu and maintains an active music career alongside his day job in tech. His wife, Regan, is also a coach—serving as the head coach of Conestoga Field Hockey.

Coach Brain has been part of the Conestoga hockey community for many years, coaching both the Stoga Boys' Elementary and Middle School programs as well as Team Philadelphia. He brings a wide perspective on the game—having spent 18 years as a USA Hockey referee and more than 30 years playing men’s league hockey.

Coach Kerry has been part of the Conestoga Girls Ice Hockey coaching staff since 2023, bringing more than 30 years of experience and a lifelong love for the game. He began playing in Western Pennsylvania with the Westmoreland Eagles Club and was a four-year varsity letterman and captain for Greensburg Salem High School. “Hockey has always held a special place in my life—especially now that I get to share it with my daughters, Lila and Flora,” he says. “It’s a privilege to help our players grow both on and off the ice, and to be part of a team that truly supports one another.”
